Gemma grew up in Northern Ireland and obtained her medical degree from Queen’s University, Belfast in 2010. She has been living and working in Australia since 2012 and completed her GP training in the beautiful Northern Rivers region of NSW. Gemma has a strong interest in women’s health, with a particular focus on perimenopause and menopause care. Her passion for this area grew from recognising the gap in support for women navigating hormonal transitions and she finds it deeply rewarding to help women feel like themselves again through evidence-based treatment. Alongside clinical work, Gemma is also a Medical Educator with the RACGP, supporting the next generation of GPs. When not at work, she is kept busy by her two young boys and enjoys camping, exploring nature and planning her next travel adventure.
